Modern vs Old Jaguars

As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, the term “old Jaguars” generally refers to classic or vintage Jaguar cars that were produced in earlier decades. The exact models considered “old” can vary depending on individual perspectives, but here are some examples of classic Jaguar cars that are often considered as such:

  1. Jaguar E-Type (XKE): Produced from 1961 to 1975, the E-Type is one of the most iconic and beautiful Jaguar cars. It’s often regarded as one of the greatest sports cars of all time.
  2. Jaguar XK120, XK140, XK150: These models were produced in the late 1940s through the mid-1960s and are classic sports cars with a focus on performance and style.
  3. Jaguar Mark II: Produced from 1959 to 1967, the Mark II is a luxury saloon car known for its elegance and performance.
  4. Jaguar Mark X and 420G: These large luxury sedans were produced in the 1960s and are often associated with a more stately, executive style.
  5. Jaguar XJ Series 1, 2, and 3: The XJ series, introduced in 1968, represents a line of luxury sedans. The Series 1 (1968–1973), Series 2 (1973–1979), and Series 3 (1979–1992) are considered classic examples.
  6. Jaguar XKSS: A limited-production road-going version of the Jaguar D-Type race car, produced in the 1950s.
  7. Jaguar XJS: Produced from 1975 to 1996, the XJS is a grand tourer and a successor to the E-Type.

It’s important to note that the perception of what is considered “old” can change over time, and newer models may be considered classic or vintage as time goes on. Additionally, developments in the automotive world may influence how enthusiasts view certain models. Always check current perspectives and classifications within the automotive community for the most up-to-date information.
